Armenia celebrates Independence Day. our country is 33 years old

Today, September 21, the Republic of Armenia celebrates Independence Day.

The vast majority of the population of the republic, 94.39 percent of those with the right to vote, or 2 million 43 thousand people, said "Yes" to independence. Based on the results of the referendum in 1991 On September 23, the Supreme Council of the Republic declared Armenia an independent state.

In 1991 During this period, 48 states recognized the independence of the Republic of Armenia. On March 2, 1992, our country became a full member of the United Nations.

We had to defend independence and statehood in a forced war at the cost of the blood of brave Armenians.
