Armenia's withdrawal from CSTO will lead to its abolition. Andrei Koshkin

Armenia is unlikely to leave the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), because the existence of the country in the framework of "lone sailing" will lead to its disappearance. Political scientist Andrey Koshkin said this in a conversation with NEWS.ru.

According to him, there is indeed tension in relations with Russia, but the countries continue to establish ties.

" I doubt that Armenia will leave the CSTO, because the existence of the country in the framework of "lone sailing" will ultimately lead to its elimination ," says the expert.

According to him, such sentiments are conditioned by the West's intention to separate Armenia from Russia and completely push Moscow out of Transcaucasia.

" However, there are states that are interested in Russia continuing to influence Armenia. For example: Iran. In general, now geopolitical crises are intensifying all over the world, which is also related to the US position. They can offer everything to Armenia in order to promote their ideas, even up to the country's membership in NATO ," concluded the political scientist.
