On the night of April 5-6, the units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces opened fire at the positions of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia with variable intensity from different caliber firearms in a number of directions of the border zone. between 22:25-22:50 in Sotki (Gegharkunik region), at 23:15 in Verin Shorzha (Gegharkunik region), at 00:15 in Kuti (Gegharkunik region), 23:15-23:20 in the period between: Aravus (Syunik marz), at 23:05-23:20 at Chinari (Tavush marz), at 00:15-01:20 in the direction of RA Armed Forces positions located in Movses (Tavush marz) It is noteworthy that during the night, most of the shootings of the Azerbaijani armed forces were non-targeted and irregular. The units of the Armenian Armed Forces also observed the active movement of the vehicles of the Azerbaijani armed forces in the direction of Ishkhanasar between 21:00 and 23:00. It is obvious that the Azerbaijani the said actions of the party had a provocative purpose in order to achieve the undertaking of similar counter actions by the units of the armed forces of the Republic of Armenia, in order to obtain facts that "justify" the Azerbaijani disinformation of the last period. The units of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, assessing the situation, did not take any actions contributing to further escalation, after which the situation calmed down at the border. The Ministry of Defense also informs that the Azerbaijani propaganda machine spread false information yesterday, trying to present the planned shift carried out by the units of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia as accumulations on the front line. The relevant division of the RA Ministry of Defense, conducting monitoring and analysis of open sources, also recorded that in recent days there has been an increase in the number of cases of disinformation spread by the Azerbaijani press on the Armenian media, so we urge our compatriots to be vigilant and follow the official news.
