Azerbaijan proposed to immediately stop the operation of the Metsamor NPP

Azerbaijan addressed the co-chairs of the Nuclear Energy Summit, which started in Brussels, with a statement, drawing attention to the Metsamor NPP.

According to the Azerbaijani mass media, the signatories of the declaration stated that "the operation period of the Metsamor nuclear power plant, which is in an emergency state, has long expired and the issue of the immediate termination of the nuclear power plant should be raised before the Armenian government, as it poses a huge nuclear threat to Azerbaijan, Turkey, Armenia and for the entire region."
