Bagrat Srbazan is not an agent, he did not receive millions of dollars. NSS has officially denied

The NSS has officially denied the information circulated by government circles about Bagrat Srbazan being an agent.

Statements by Davit Levonyan, a journalist of the official "Civik" news agency, that Srbazan is a "KBI" agent, received millions of dollars from the Kremlin, and in connection with these statements, the report of initiating proceedings for perjury against Levonyan was the subject of an inspection by the National Security Service for about a month, but Bagratazan Srbazan they did not find anything against it.

The General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Armenia informed "Pastinfo" that no such data was received during the inspection. As for Davit Levonyan's alleged perjury, no criminal proceedings have been initiated for that episode either.

"It is considered perjury to give false information to the competent authority about a crime incident or a person committing a crime. In this case, no crime report was submitted to the RA General Prosecutor's Office or any other competent authority," the prosecutor's office said.

Let's remind that on April 29, the "Tavush for the Motherland" movement submitted a report about the crime, demanding within 24 hours either to initiate criminal proceedings and call Bagrat Srbazan to justice, or to call to justice the journalist of the official news agency "Civic News" for perjury. . The latter voiced baseless accusations and slanders against the reverend, accusing him of allegedly being "an agent of the Russian KGB, receiving millions of dollars from the Kremlin, inciting the Armenian-Azerbaijani war."

""In the said video, which is a professional journalist, devoid of objective and unbiased content, professional ethics and good manners, rather it has the impression of a blogger's monologue, claims are made that he allegedly has "evidence", according to which the Bishop of the Armenian Church "received millions of dollars".

This is nothing but a report of a particularly serious crime. And according to Article 173, Part 4 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia, publication in the mass media is an occasion to initiate a criminal case.

Thus, we demand from the law enforcement agencies, on the basis of the report of the mentioned person, within 24 hours, either to call Bagrat Srbazan to criminal responsibility, or to call to criminal responsibility, under Article 476 of the RA Criminal Code, the mentioned person posing as a "journalist" and publishing his video: " to the "Civic News" channel of the "Youtube" multimedia electronic platform," the movement noted.

In relation to the said report, inspections were carried out at the National Security Service, as a result of which, in fact, it was confirmed that circles close to the government had slandered Bagrat Srbazan. It should be noted that on behalf of Bagrat Srbazan, a lawsuit has already been submitted to the Yerevan Civil Court against Davit Levonyan and "CP" ( civic.am ) with the demand to deny the information considered defamatory.
