Basically, for the first time, Armenia and Azerbaijan have resolved the issue at the table. Nikol Pashinyan

Regarding yesterday's announcement, I would first like to assess the political significance of what happened. RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said this in a conversation with journalists in Stepanavan. We learn about this from the Prime Minister's Facebook page.

"I wouldn't want us to overestimate what happened, but I also wouldn't want us to underestimate it, because it is very important to record that, in fact, for the first time, Armenia and Azerbaijan have resolved an issue around the table," said the Prime Minister.

Nikol Pashinyan informed that he came to Medovka village and Stepanavan to see which of the shortcomings they recorded last time were solved.

It should be noted that the situation in Tavush was tense at night, hundreds of citizens blocked the interstate road in the Baghanis and Kirants section.

People gathered from Baghanis, Voskepar, Kirants, Barekamavan, Koti, Dilijan, Ijevan and other settlements of Tavush.

Let's remind that the eighth meeting of the commissions on the demarcation of the state border between the two countries took place yesterday on the border of Armenia and Azerbaijan, chaired by the Deputy Prime Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Mher Grigoryan and Shahin Mustafaev.

A protocol was signed as a result of the meeting. The parties have agreed to coordinate the date and place of the next meeting.

According to the statement of our Foreign Ministry, as a result of the meeting, a preliminary agreement was reached to align the Baghanis - Baghanis Ayrum, Voskepar - Ashagh Askipara, Kirants - Khairumli and Berkaber - Kizil Hajil sections of the border with the legally established inter-republican border that existed at the time of the collapse of the Soviet Union.
