Biden wrote a letter to Zurabishvili and complained about the Georgian government

US President Joe Biden sent a letter to the head of state of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, in which he expressed his displeasure with the "anti-democratic actions" of the Georgian government, in his own words, due to the adoption of the "Foreign Agents" law.

Zurabishvili himself published the letter on the social network.

Biden sent the letter on the occasion of the 16th anniversary of military operations in South Ossetia. It is stated in it:

"I want to emphasize the will of the Georgian people, their Euro-Atlantic aspirations... I am disappointed by the anti-democratic actions of the Georgian government, an example of which is the law "On Foreign Agents" written in Kremlin style, as well as the false statements of Georgian officials. It does not meet the standards of membership in the European Union and NATO. Despite these steps, we remain committed to Georgia's Euro-Atlantic integration."
