Cristiano Ronaldo 'made history' with 1 billion followers on social media

Cristiano Ronaldo has thanked his fans for reaching one billion followers across all social media platforms.

"Al Nasri" senior has 638 million followers on Instagram, 170 million on Facebook, and 113 million on X.

The 39-year-old recently launched his YouTube channel 'UR·Ronaldo', which gained 1 million subscribers to 60 million in 24 hours.

"We made history: 1 billion subscribers. This is more than just a number, this is a testament to our shared passion, drive and love, in and out of the game," wrote Ronaldo on Instagram. "From the streets of Madeira to the biggest stages in the world, I've always played for my family and you, and now we're making a billion. you have been with me every step of the way, through all my ups and downs. This is our journey and together we have shown that there are no limits to what we can achieve. Thank you for believing in me, supporting me and being a part of my life."

Ronaldo, who earlier this month became the first player in history to score 900 goals in official games, has no intention of slowing down. "The best is yet to come, and we will continue to fight, win and make history together," he says.
