Error in the new version of WhatsApp. it is recommended to uninstall the latest version of the messenger

A bug has been found in the latest version of the WhatsApp messenger for Android, due to which users are unable to send videos that they took with their smartphone via chat. The website 9to5Google drew attention to the complaints of users about this problem in forums and social networks.

"After learning about the issue, we checked and encountered the same issue. In the last 24 hours, video files are not being sent properly. A pop-up notification appears that says: "This video cannot be sent. Please select another video and try again." Unfortunately, this [error] persists," the site writes.

Interestingly, the issue only affects videos shot on a smartphone, while other videos are sent without issue. Sometimes the error may also appear when sending a video downloaded from Instagram. However, it is not yet known if sending the video as a document (without compression) will cause the same problem.

The bug is believed to have occurred after updating WhatsApp to Android version 2.24.9.34. The only temporary solution until the developers release a fix is to uninstall the latest version of the messenger from the phone and install the earlier version 2.24.8.85.

The WhatsApp team has not yet commented on the situation.
