Gyumri can show by its example that it is possible to put ambitions aside around an idea and achieve a positive result. Producer and candidate for mayor of Gyumri Ruben Mkhitaryan said this on Antifake.

"Those who know me know that if I get to work, it becomes a priority for me. My future supposed job at the same Gyumri municipality will involve the following: I will come to work earlier than everyone else, I will leave work later than everyone else, and if necessary, I will not leave work at all," said Mkhitaryan.

He noted that after the war, when the 2021 elections took place, the thought constantly crossed his mind: if there comes a time when the degree of weakening of this government is at such a level that, as a result of properly organized work, it would be possible to expel them from the second city of Armenia, then he will not only use that chance, but will be ready to help make it happen. According to him, all analyzes showed that this stage was ripe.

"It was also very important for me that my son return home from the army. I understood that every careless move of mine could cause misfortune and he would have to serve for a long time. When we were coming home with my son, we had an interesting conversation. He said, 'I read your interview, why don't you want to try?' I said, 'Why should I try?' He replied, 'I don't want you to be the one talking all the time, I think you should try,'" he explained.

According to him, all people aspiring to public office should have a clear justification as to why their sons did not serve in the army. If they did, glory and honor to them.

"It is important for social justice and solidarity. If we do not do this, all the legends will continue in the future, which should not continue. One of the destructive factors in the 30-year life of our state has been that alongside the legends there was also the reality, which continues even now. We have a deputy foreign minister who we do not know what he has done in the field of science, but we know how many tasteless tricks he has worn," he said.

He is confident that the “Civil Contract” party will not win in Gyumri: “I am sure that I will register a wonderful result in Gyumri, a result that will serve as a basis for asserting that my participation in these elections was not only necessary, it was important, but it will also show how to get rid of the “Nicolasian horde” in Armenia.”

Gyumri can be the city in Armenia that shows by its example that it is possible to put aside certain ambitions around an idea and achieve a positive result, which was not possible in Yerevan.

"I have an inner feeling that it will work out in Gyumri, I have an inner feeling that I will win, we will talk about the rest on March 31."
