The "Hraparak" newspaper writes: "We wrote that the head of the Prime Minister's staff, Arayik Harutyunyan, is running for the post of president of the Weightlifting Federation. The long-time head of the federation, Hrachya Rostomyan, will not run in the new elections. Another source claims that the government has decided to hand over the entire sports world to Harutyunyan's curation. Not only because a lot of money is involved here, but also so that the government can use sports successes to its advantage.
Harutyunyan may also coordinate the activities of other federations in the near future, including the Football Federation.
Accordingly, dark clouds are gathering over the head of FFA President Armen Melikbekyan. Currently, inspections are underway in various FFA circles, and we learned that some of Melikbekyan's staff are leaving the field.
"The head of the FFA Marketing and Communications Department, Georgi Matevosyan, has been dismissed from his position. He confirmed the information in a conversation with us, but after thinking for a while, he said that his departure had nothing to do with his close relationship with Melikbekyan - he had moved to a different field."
