ISIS has claimed responsibility for the Crocus City Hall attack



Militants of the "Islamic State" terrorist group claimed responsibility for the attack on the Crocus City Hall concert complex in the Moscow Region on Friday, CNN, Reuters and others reported.

It is noted that the terrorist group claimed responsibility for the attack in a statement published on its Telegram channel by the IS-affiliated Amaq news agency.

It is noted that the group "did not provide evidence to support this statement."

As Reuters writes, citing two American officials, the United States has intelligence confirming that the "Islamic State" claimed responsibility for the attack.

On March 22, the mass media reported about shootings at the Crocus City Hall, where the concert of the band Picnic was supposed to take place. At least three people in camouflage opened fire. It is also known that an explosion took place in the building and a fire broke out. According to preliminary data, more than 60 people were killed. Health Minister Mikhail Murashko said that 115 people were hospitalized, 5 of them were children, 60 were adults, and one child was in serious condition. The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation initiated a criminal case under the article "Terrorist Act".
