Magnetic storms September 23-29. pressure, headache, how to cope?

The coming week, from September 23 to 29, can be difficult for people who depend on weather conditions. According to the forecasts, magnetic storms await us, which, as a rule, affect our well-being.

The current week is characterized by quite noticeable solar activity, which is usually followed by disturbances in the Earth's magnetosphere, Anatoly Petrukovich, director of the Institute of Space Research of the Russian Academy of Sciences, told NEWS.ru.

"After the solar flares, several of our predictions came true, and we observed two relatively large magnetic storms. We hope that next week the situation will be calmer than this one, because the activity of our star is decreasing," explained the specialist. According to him, flares do not always lead to magnetic storms.

Earlier, Petrukovich noted that a slight increase in geomagnetic activity is expected due to the presence of a large number of sunspot groups on the Sun. According to him, recently only small outbreaks have been registered, the consequences of which are almost invisible to people.

According to the Magnetic Storm Prediction Service, the beginning of next week will be calm. However, the situation may change dramatically on Thursday. a strong magnetic storm is predicted, which will last for two days. The magnetic field will still be unstable on Saturday. The situation should stabilize on Sunday, September 29.

According to the expert, people who are sensitive to weather conditions should not relax their vigilance. Physicist recommends to spend more time outside, rest and take the medicines prescribed by the doctor on time.

Head of the Department of Physics and Stellar Evolution of the Institute of Astronomy of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Dmitry Wiebe, believes that solar flares do not have a significant impact on human health. According to him, if a weather-dependent person is warned that a magnetic storm will occur on a certain date, "he will feel bad" on that day. If you don't tell him anything, his condition will not get worse.

According to Wiebe, during magnetic storms, some citizens have a “slightly increased risk of cardiac events, but this is lost against the background of the various stresses that people face in life.

In a conversation with NEWS.ru, therapist Viktoria Krasnova noted that many of her patients "have different symptoms" during the days of strong magnetic storms. "Most often, people complain of an increase or a sharp drop in blood pressure, as well as a loss of strength. It is during this period that various chronic diseases worsen," the expert emphasized.

Therapist Pavel Smirnov advises weather-dependent people to observe certain rules during magnetic storms in order to minimize their impact on health.

"During such periods, one should walk more in the fresh air, one should pay attention to physical activity. However, physical activity should be approached without fanaticism, so as not to overburden yourself," Smirnov explained to NEWS.ru.
