Manipulative statements from the Catholicos party are being spread, misleading the public. Chakhoyan

The statement of the Mother See about handing over territories from Tavush marz to Azerbaijan is a lie, an obvious forgery. Taron Chakhoyan, Deputy Head of the Prime Minister's Office, wrote about this on his Facebook page.

"Manipulative statements are being spread by the Catholicos party, misleading the public.

I am sorry that instead of encouraging and guiding their own people in this difficult period, the spiritual fathers took the path of terrorizing and misleading their own people by spreading misinformation for obvious political purposes.

No one from the territory of Armenia has the right and cannot hand over or cede even 1 meter to another state. "All statements about handing over or ceding territories from Tavush marz are false, and those spreading these statements aim to involve Armenia in a new war, because Armenia has no territorial ambitions from other states," the post says.

Earlier, the Mother See issued a message, specifically stating that "recent developments no longer leave any doubt that the Armenian authorities, in the conditions of complete depopulation of Artsakh and occupation of RA territories, yielding to the threats from Azerbaijan, are preparing to transfer the latter to territories from Tavush marz before the supposed demarcation and demarcation".
