MSU. Yandex Go will compensate users for the cost of trips within the framework of the campaign implemented on April 24

The Commission for the Protection of Competition received requests from users regarding the campaign conducted by Yandex Go on April 24, 2024 in Yerevan.

According to the announced conditions, all trips with the "Start" tariff, the end point of which was the height of Tsitsernakaberd, should cost a symbolic 1 dram, and the drivers should receive a full refund of its cost. However, in some cases, users were charged the full cost of the trip. For example, due to a paid waiting fee, due to various reasons of completing the trip at a long distance from the actual destination, or due to the fact that some drivers charge the full amount of the trip.

MSU studied the raised issues, contacted the Yandex Go service. The service has conducted an investigation and has expressed its readiness to compensate users for the cost of such trips and plans to implement such compensation in the near future.

The Commission for the Protection of Competition notes that users who made trips to the top of Tsitsernakaberd on April 24, the cost of which was more than AMD 1, can contact the Yandex Go service to find out the possibility of receiving compensation.
