Armen Ashotyan stated during the court session that he never considers his struggle and even his arrest personal.

"My struggle is not personal at all, therefore, I do not consider the arrest that followed it personal either. These 400 days that I am in detention are not the days of my personal detention, but the days of the loss of Artsakh, the depopulation of Artsakh, the surrender of 4 villages of Tavush. The country lives with other important phenomena. With all the hardships, my family's and my personal stories really pale in comparison to what has happened and is happening in our country.

At least I am sitting in an Armenian prison, the leadership of Artsakh is Azeri. my story fades to them.
