Nikol Pashinyan intends to hand over the lands of 4 villages to Azerbaijan without building new roads. Oskan Sargsyan

Tavush journalist Oskan Sargsyan stated that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan intends to hand over the lands of 4 villages to Azerbaijan without building new roads.

"Nikol Pashinyan's classmate, sponsor of his wedding, by Nikol Pashinyan's decision in 2021 On April 8, I made an information inquiry to Hayk Ghalumyan, who was appointed as the Governor of Tavush, asking him to ensure the transport communication between Ijevan-Noyemberyan and Armenia-Georgia after handing over the territories of 4 villages formerly populated by Azerbaijanis: Baghanis-Ayrum, Ghzlhajili, Ashagh Askipara (Inner Voskepar), Khermili to Azerbaijan. What new roads are planned to be built in those border areas of the region, how many kilometers long, and at what cost? On March 29, I received the governor's reply, which states: "Such a decision has not been made yet."

There is no such decision, but on March 18, at the Voskepar culture house, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, in response to the concerns of the residents of Voskepar that Voskepar will have a road problem after handing over the territories of 4 villages to Azerbaijan, announced that a tunnel will be built in Voskepar, and the Yenokavan-Jujevan road will be built.

New to that part of the border

there is no decision to build roads, in that case, after handing over the territories of 4 villages to Azerbaijan, how will they implement the connection of Voskepar with the outside world, the Ijevan-Noyemberyan connection and the Armenia-Georgia transport communication through that section," wrote Sargsyan on Facebook.
