Papoyan visited the greenhouse complex operating in the Noragavit district of Yerevan

RA Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan visited the greenhouse complex operating in Noragavit district of Yerevan. Deputy Minister Arman Khojoyan also participated in the visit.

The greenhouse complex was founded by the company "Spayka" in 2018, with an area of 50 hectares and 800 jobs. Accompanied by company managers, the minister toured the territory of the complex, familiarized himself with production volumes, processes equipped with modern technologies, which provide an optimal microclimate for plant cultivation and are aimed at efficient use of energy resources.

One of the key features of the greenhouse complex is the use of only biological means for plant protection, thanks to which ecologically clean vegetables are produced in accordance with European standards.

The minister emphasized the importance of such investments in the progress of the agricultural sector, ensuring food security, increasing the quality of products, promoting economic growth, as well as creating jobs.

The next stop was the factory of "Spyka" agroholding, equipped with modern technologies, with an annual productivity of more than 2,000 tons of blue cheese and other types of dairy products.

With an investment of $15,000,000, the factory has created 120 jobs, and the production line allows for the production of the entire range of mold cheeses. The product will be consumed in the EAEU and Middle East countries, and after the quality of the purchased milk meets the EU regulations, also in Europe.

The minister also visited the company's refrigeration complex in Yerevan, where more than 15,000 tons of fresh fruits and vegetables are stored for export in November-May.
