"People". Corruption has not only not been eradicated under the velvet revolutionaries, it is also flourishing smoothly.

"Zhoghovurd" daily writes: "There is no corruption in Armenia now. I can say this because now there is an anti-corruption atmosphere in Armenia," Nikol Pashinyan made such a loud statement in his interview to one of the Russian media in 2018, immediately after coming to power.

Years later, after the sensational revelations of corruption involving his teammates, Pashinyan corrected himself by clarifying that there is no systemic corruption in Armenia. He announced this at his press conference in March 2023.

And what do the facts say?

Although Pashinyan torpedoes the public with his thesis of rooting out corruption, the data published by various international organizations, as well as the publications in the press, prove the opposite. corruption has not only not been eradicated under the velvet revolutionaries, but is also flourishing smoothly.

Thus, according to the 2023 ranking of "Corruption Perceptions" published by Transparency International, Armenia ranked 62nd among 180 countries with 47 points, improving its position by one position compared to 2022.

The most recent example documenting the development of corruption in Armenia was the revelation of the investigation of "Civilnet" and OCCRP, which was related to the topic of "Civil Pact" 2022 donations. According to the publication, dozens of people who transferred millions of drams to KP in 2022 claimed that they did not make any donations. The property and income declaration amounts of some donors were not enough for such a fund.

In other words, the CP transfers were made from unknown sources."
