On November 26, Argishti Mekhakyan, head of the Khoi community, who was nominated by the CP to be the head of the Armavir region, was elected the head of the Armavir region yesterday by the Government's decision.
Mekhakyan has worked in various departments since 2007. At first, he worked in Etchmiadzin Municipality as a second-class specialist in the control department, in 2008-2010, as a first-class specialist in the financial department of Etchmiadzin Municipality, in 2010-2014, as an assistant to the chairman of the state committee of the real estate cadastre under the Government of the Republic of Armenia, and so on. And in 2017-2018, during the revolution, he was the manager of "Mobile Center Art" LLC. After the victorious "velvet revolution", Mekhakyan immediately held the position of deputy head of Etchmiadzin community from August 2018 to January 2019. Mekhakyan was also a deputy of the "My step" faction of the National Assembly, and before becoming the governor, he was the community leader of Khoy community.
Argishti Mekhakyan presented a declaration of real estate, income, expenses and interests for 2023 as the mayor of Khoi. According to the statement, Mekhakyan owns one individual residential house in Vagharshapat community, which he bought in 2014. He declared one Toyota car that he bought in 2019. Compared to the previous year, cash resources decreased by 100 thousand drams, from 1 million drams to 900 thousand drams.
Argishti Mekhakyan's annual income in 2023 was 17 million 358 thousand drams, of which 6 million 43 thousand are wages from the staff of the Khoi community administration.
1 million 45 thousand of the income is insurance compensation, and the other part, 10 million drams, are loans from "Armswissbank" CJSC and "Akba" bank.
As of December 31 of the reporting year, the balance of the principal amount of received loans and borrowings was 6 million 627 thousand drams, which is the balance of the principal amount of the residential house mortgage.
Mekhakyan spent 9 million drams for the repair of real estate.
Argishti Mekhakyan is a member of the board of the NGO "Union of Earth Guard Volunteers" and also a member of the Communist Party.
