"Zhoghovurd" daily writes: "The punishment for those who avoid the 25-day training sessions will be toughened. What did Papikyan and the deputies discuss? Yesterday, Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan went to the parliament for a closed meeting with government and opposition MPs of the Standing Committee on Defense and Security of the National Assembly.

"Zhoghovurd" daily published some details of the meeting between Minister Papikyan and deputies.

Thus, according to our information, the minister and the deputies discussed a package of legislative projects.

The point is that the executive proposes to tighten the punishment for those who avoid the 25-day training sessions. Papikyan reached the parliament with this "very important" question.

The executive suggests that those who avoided the training session should be fined and criminally liable. The criminal punishment provides imprisonment from 2 months to 2 years.

As we were told, before coming to the National Assembly, the project must first go through the "hands" of law enforcement agencies to understand whether there is any legal inconsistency.

Let's remind that the new 25-day training camps of reservists are being held in Armenia from January 2024. it will last until April 12.

They are mandatory for all reservists between the ages of 20 and 55."
