Abraham Gasparyan was recognized as a victim, RA Investigative Committee informed "Pastinfo" .

On June 12, during the action that took place on Baghramyan avenue, near the National Assembly building, the police used disproportionate force and violence against the participants of the peaceful assembly, as a result of which around 101 people received various physical injuries, one of the citizens lost his wrist as a result of the special measures used. Around a dozen journalists and cameramen were also injured, property belonging to mass media was damaged, apparently, journalist Abraham Gasparyan was subjected to targeted violence.

It is noteworthy that the law enforcement officers did not initiate criminal proceedings, even though they received a corresponding report from the hospital that a person subjected to violence was taken for medical treatment, however, Abraham Gasparyan's lawyer submitted a report about the crime to the RA Criminal Court.

Gor Abrahamyan, press secretary of the Central Committee, informed "Pastinfo" that a criminal proceeding was initiated regarding the whistleblowing, which was joined to the criminal proceeding related to the legality of police actions during the events that took place near the National Assembly on June 12. Gasparyan was recognized as a victim and an appropriate investigative operation was carried out with him," said Abrahamyan.
