"Hraparak" newspaper writes: "Although Nikol Pashinyan and his group have been carrying out a propaganda campaign against Russia for several years and have succeeded in generating anti-Russian sentiments in RA, they are not actually going to break any interstate agreement with Russia.

According to the clause stipulated in the agreement: "This Agreement is concluded for a period of 25 years and will be automatically extended each time for the next ten-year period, if none of the High Contracting Parties notifies the other High Contracting Party in writing no later than one year before the expiration of the relevant period of its validity, of its intention to terminate the Agreement. about desire."

The RA authorities did not apply, so the term was automatically extended for another 10 years. In the event that since 2021, various officials of the RA government complain that the Russian Federation is not loyal to the interstate agreements signed with the RA and does not support Armenia. In particular, Armen Grigoryan of the APC has repeatedly appealed to the Russian Federation on the occasion of Azerbaijani aggression against Armenia in 2021, reminding of the 1997 on the obligation to protect the territorial integrity of Armenia within the framework of the agreement".
