Ruben Melikyan. People who describe me as "defender of the 5th column" are either pure Nicolaitans or those who are influenced by Nicolaitan propaganda.

Human rights defender, lawyer Ruben Melikyan, in a Facebook post, presented several remarks about the repressions carried out by the regime and the provision of human rights support to the people subjected to them:

"1) In 2019, I Since January, I have been carrying out human rights protection activities in RA, the core of which is the protection of persons subjected to political persecution.

2) My first principle is very clear since 2019, whoever is persecuted by the Nicolas regime for political reasons can expect my help (as much as I am physically able) regardless of my personal attitude, regardless of their past behavior. 3) Me for the fact that the regime's repressions are real is assumed until the contrary is not proven. For example, no sane person can imagine that the repressions against Ashotyan, Aslanyan, Malyan, Samsonyan, Saghatelyan are staged or artificial. On the other hand, any sane person has the right to be suspicious of the Combat Brotherhood NGO, given the views of their "political wing" [an important caveat: the vast majority of rank-and-file members of that organization, I'm sure, are honest and patriotic guys]. 4) Today I publicly expressed my willingness to help the captured members of that NGO, because apparently they were being subjected to political persecution. But the subsequent events and new information left an ambiguous impression. 5) People calling me "defender of the 5th column" are either pure Nicolaitans or those who are influenced by Nicolaitan propaganda. In any case, my words and deeds have been in the public eye for years, and I believe that those who label me in such a way are not really labeling me, but themselves. 6) At the same time, I do not shine with remembrance, and I do not give up. from my commitment to support those under REAL repression by the regime to the best of my ability."
