Telegram allows users to report messages in private chats. the Russian service of the BBC is informed.

Now, when you click on a message in chats, a button appears that allows you to leave complaints about spam, disclosure of personal information, drugs, pornography, and violence.

In addition, the clause that messages in private chats are not subject to moderation has disappeared from the messenger's FAQ.

Meduza notes that, judging by the cached page with the questions, the rules were changed a day ago (when Telegram was declared an undesirable organization in Russia and a "foreign agent").

The company itself has not announced the introduction of these changes. At the same time, the issue of content moderation in Telegram is one of the main complaints of the French authorities against the founder of the messenger, Pavel Durov, who was arrested in the country at the end of August.
