Telegram founder Pavel Durov was arrested in Paris

"Telegram" founder Pavel Durov was arrested in Paris, French media reports.

Durov left Azerbaijan for France on his own plane.

The 39-year-old businessman was accompanied by his bodyguard and a woman. Durov was wanted by the federal government. Apparently, a French search warrant was issued against him by the OFMI (National Judicial Police Department) during the initial investigation.

French law enforcement authorities suspect that Durov is involved in "drug trafficking, crimes against children and fraud" due to "lack of moderation and cooperation with law enforcement" on Telegram.
