However, if consumed in excess, sorrel can have other effects on the body. It contains oxalic acid and oxalates. Oxalates accumulate in the kidneys and lead to the formation of stones. And acid is harmful for people with gastrointestinal diseases, for example, gastritis or peptic ulcer.

Hummingbird irritates the esophagus and thereby worsens the course of the disease. In case of pathologies of the kidneys, urinary system and gastrointestinal tract, greens are contraindicated. In other cases, it is recommended to eat young sorrel no more than 1-2 times a week.
