The members of the European Parliament called on the EU leadership to protect the cultural heritage of Artsakh Armenians

The deputies of the European Parliament appealed to the EU leadership with a call to protect Artsakh's cultural heritage.

The letter addressed to the head of the European Council, Charles Michel, the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, and the president of the European Parliament, Roberta Mezzola, was published by the member of the European Parliament, Miriam Lexman.

The letter was signed by more than 40 European MPs.

"The Armenian cultural and religious heritage of Nagorno-Karabakh is a fundamental part of our common European heritage.

That is why, together with the cross-party group of colleagues of the European Parliament, we call on EU leaders to ensure that the EU takes active steps to protect it," Lexman commented on the published letter.
