Syria highly appreciates Armenia's recognition of the State of Palestine, stressing that the decision contributes to the restoration of the legal rights of the Palestinian people.

As SANA agency reports, this is stated in the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigration of Syria.

"Syria maintains that this courageous decision supports the legitimate aspirations of the Palestinians to establish their own independent state with Jerusalem as its capital," the statement said.
