On May 28, on the occasion of the Republic Day, H.E. During the visit of Karekin the Second Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians and the Mother See of Saint Etchmiadzin to the Sardarapat memorial complex, the reprehensible behavior of the police towards the Armenian Patriarch and church members and the prohibitions and violent actions initiated to enter the memorial complex are another episode of the shameful and anti-national activities of the authorities.

Praise be to the Lord that, despite the violence and prohibitions imposed by the police, His Holiness raised a prayer in front of the memorial to God for the peace of the souls of the brave Armenians who were martyred in the heroic battles of May.

May the Heavenly Lord unshakably keep the independent Armenian statehood and immediately bless and grant a safe and secure life to all our people.
