The son of the owner of the "Marianna" company was taken to the police station with several people

On December 27, officers of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs Police conducted a special operation in Yerevan, in the Haghtanak district, known to the people as "4th Village." Shamshyan.com reports.

The operation was carried out in front of the famous "Marianna" dairy factory in the Haghtanak district, and several people were taken to the Malatia police station.

According to the website, among those taken to the police station was Zhora Vardanyan, the son of Tigran Vardanyan, the owner of the Marianna company, and the son-in-law of former judge Gagik Khandanyan. The special police operation was also related to the shooting that took place on 1st Street in the Haghtanak district a day ago, which was fired at the house of a 47-year-old resident.

According to the media outlet, Zh. Vardanyan, who was transferred to the police, had run over a female pedestrian years ago on Vazgen Sargsyan Street in Yerevan, near the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia, with his Mercedes G car with the license plate “999 DO 99”. The latter died on the spot, and Zh. Vardanyan had left the scene of the incident. Another citizen had come to the police instead and reported that he had committed the crime himself, but as a result of the work of investigators and police officers, it was found out that Zh. Vardanyan had committed the crime, against whom an indictment had been drawn up and the case had been sent to court.

As previously reported, shots were fired in Yerevan on December 26. At around 00:20, the police received a call that shots had been fired on 1st Street in the Haghtanak district.

It was found out at the scene that the shots were fired at one of the houses on 1st Street in the Haghtanak district, and according to 47-year-old Anahit M., a resident of the house, they had previously had problems with their neighbor, 33-year-old Harut A., and Harut A. fired about 15-20 shots at their mobile home, damaging the windows and the front part.

According to preliminary information, there were no injuries.

A criminal investigation into the incident was initiated at the Malatia Investigation Department on the grounds of attempted murder.

According to the website, the suspect, Harut A., was identified and presented to the Malatya Investigation Department.
