In recent days, the European Union and the United States met in Brussels within the framework of NATO and adopted a new resolution to prepare a new plan of invasion and illegal intervention in the South Caucasus region and directly declared that they want to intervene in this very sensitive region of the world, allegedly with the aim of promoting peace. This was stated by Ali Akbar Velayati, adviser on international affairs of the supreme leader of Iran, in an interview with Al-Mayadeen TV channel, IRNA reports.

He noted that "so far, such actions show that this infamous group has no other goal than to create tension in important parts of the world and to seek an excuse for a military presence at the cost of destroying the security and independence of countries in this region."

Velayati noted: "The sensitivity of the South Caucasus region is not a secret for anyone, and the glorious history of the Islamic Republic of Iran shows that for centuries our country has always been an important pillar in maintaining security and peace in this region. taking into account the rights and sensitivities of the countries of the region".

The Supreme Leader's advisor on international issues stated. "The South Caucasus is an important part of Iran's security zone, which will always protect the security, independence and territorial integrity of all countries in this region, and the latest decision of the European Union, NATO and the USA in Brussels will not be implemented under any circumstances."
