According to him, before the April 5 meeting, Armenia took some steps: freezing CSTO membership, closing Solovyov's broadcasts, removing Russian border guards from Zvartnots. The main step is to sever relations with Russia and withdraw the troops. The current government is not able to do this, secondly, it understands that it is strongly economically dependent on Russia. If these economic ties are broken, the RA economy will collapse and the next day they will lose power. For this, the main emphasis was placed on economic diversification. In other words, the EU was taking some steps to somehow reduce this dependence," said the political analyst.
He noted that the USA and the EU are not stupid, they know that the RA Prime Minister is a liar and that the steps taken by RA do not really mean anything. "They want concrete steps, they say: if you take concrete steps, we will give you more concrete and bigger money. If you don't do it, the price is this, we will promise this much, then we may or may not give it," he said.
