Today, the Apostolic Church celebrates the commemoration of the resurrection of Lazarus

qahana.am writes that the 41st day of Great Lent is the commemoration day of the resurrection of Lazarus in the calendar of the Armenian Apostolic Church.

The resurrection of Lazarus is told by St. In the Gospel of John (see John 11:1-46). Lazarus was from the beloved family of Jesus Christ. He was the brother of Mary and Martha who died of illness. Christ resurrects him, proving that He is the life and the resurrection.

The episode about the resurrection of Lazarus has a beautiful title. "And Jesus wept..." The Jews, seeing Jesus weeping, say: "See how much he loved her!" Christ's weeping is the testimony of His infinite love for everyone, and the resurrection of Lazarus also symbolizes the universal resurrection of those who have fallen asleep.
