Trudeau threatened Trump

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said he has been trying to reach US President Donald Trump since January 20, but to no avail. "I hope to speak to him soon," Trudeau said during a press conference. He threatened the United States with "real consequences."

Recall that Washington is raising tariffs on goods imported from Mexico, Canada and China. A White House spokesman noted that in the case of Canada and Mexico, the tariff will be 25 percent, and in the case of China, it will be 10 percent.

Weeks ago, Trudeau announced his resignation, adding that he would lead the country until the Liberal Party elected a new leader.
