Vardan Ghukasyan is not under arrest: lawyer's statement

The lawyer for Vardan Ghukasyan, the leader of the Democratic Party of Armenia (DOK), has issued a statement claiming that his client has not been arrested.

"There are rumors circulating in the press, on the Internet, and on the street that Vardan Ghukasyan was allegedly beaten, kidnapped, killed, arrested by Interpol, tried, is terminally ill, and so on."

I officially declare:

They are not true, they are false news, and their legal assessment will also be given. Vardan Ghukasyan has temporarily suspended public broadcasting due to a legal process, which has also affected his business reputation.

Due to the confidentiality of the legal process and the interests of justice, I ask Vardan Ghukasyan's supporters not to overload the law firm with their calls and messages.

"Thank you for your understanding," the statement said.

Earlier, Hetq reported that Ghukasyan is currently under arrest and is being held at the Henderson Detention Center in Las Vegas.
