Vardan Ghukasyan is under surveillance, but does not have the status of a detainee. The DOK party reports this: “ The party has always acted on the principle of transparency and has sought to present the public with the real picture of the situation. We were informed about Vardan Ghukasyan’s health condition that everything is fine and he is stabilizing. However, when we tried to obtain more detailed information, it turned out that the information provided to us was incomplete.
On the night of February 20-21, party leader Anush Khudaverdyan contacted Vardan Ghukasyan, but after some time, communication between them stopped. During further attempts, we were informed that Vardan Ghukasyan could not speak because he needed rest.
This circumstance has caused some concern among the public, especially considering that the information received did not reflect reality. We understand the public interest and concern and reaffirm that the party had no intention of hiding anything.
At the same time, the circulating rumors that Vardan Ghukasyan was subjected to violence are not true. The person mentioned in these allegations, who was allegedly a participant in the incident, has issued a statement denying his involvement in such an incident.
We previously reported that Vardan Ghukasyan would be home within two to three days, but at this time it is confirmed that he is under surveillance. He is not under arrest. We continue to remain in contact with all relevant parties to clarify additional details.
We are monitoring all processes, are in contact with other parties, and are doing everything we can to provide the public with reliable information.
"Wait for the official announcement later."
