The border guard troops of the RA sent a letter to the border guard troops of the Russian Federation in Armenia, they expressed their gratitude for the support and service provided in the Zvartnots airport since the independence of the Republic of Armenia and providing security, border control, and informed that since the state institutions in our country are developing, during this whole period, including with the support of Russian partners, the border guard service of Armenia, in particular at the "Zvartnots" airport, has already acquired sufficient experience, skills and capabilities to carry out border guard control in "Zvartnots" without the support of the Russian side. Today, on March 12, RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan mentioned this during a press conference, referring to the official statement of Armenia on the withdrawal of Russian border guards from Zvartnots airport, which was discussed by the Secretary of the Council of Ministers Armen Grigoryan.
