Zelensky and Trump had a telephone conversation

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and US presidential candidate Donald Trump had a telephone conversation. Both politicians announced this on social networks.

"I spoke to Donald Trump to congratulate him on his nomination for the presidency by the Republican Party and to condemn the assassination attempt on him in Pennsylvania," Zelensky wrote.

Trump called the conversation with Zelensky "very good", again promising to "bring peace to the world and end war" if he becomes the next US president.

The US presidential elections are on November 5, 2024.
