Zelensky appoints new Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has appointed Andriy Gnatov as Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, replacing Anatoly Bargilevich, Defense Minister Rustem Umerov said .
"Today, at my suggestion, the President of Ukraine appointed Major General Andrey Viktorovich Gnatov as Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He has more than 27 years of military experience, led the Marine Brigade, the Vostok Operational Command, and the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," Umerov noted.
Umerov thanked Bargilevich for his service as Chief of General Staff and assured him that he "will remain in the team."
